Fly by Night

Fly by Night is the second studio album by the Canadian rock band Rush, released in February 1975 (see 1975 in music). The album was recorded at the Toronto Sound Studios.
This was their first album featuring drummer Neil Peart, who led the band to adopt a different lyrical style, as well as different topics including fantasy and science fiction. The tracks "By-Tor & The Snow Dog" and "Rivendell" are examples of the inclusion of fantasy themes into Rush's music, while "Anthem" features lyrics inspired by the philosophy of Ayn Rand, whose influence on Peart's writing would reach its apogee on the band's 1976 album 2112.
Fly By Night marked the debut of Terry Brown as producer (although he had remixed their debut release), a role he would maintain until 1984's Grace Under Pressure.

Remaster Details
A remaster was issued in 1997.
- The tray has a picture of star with man painting with THE RUSH REMASTERS printed in all caps just to the left. All remasters from Rush through to Permanent Waves are like this. This is just like the cover art of Retrospective I.
- The remastered CD's packaging reinstates the original back cover and inner sleeve(including Neil Peart's handwritten lyrics and credit sheet) absent from first CD issue.
