Frito-Lay

Frito-Lay is a maker of corn and potato chips (or crisps) and other snack foods. It is based in Plano, Texas (USA), a suburb of Dallas.

Frito-Lay was the result of the merger of the Frito Company and Atlanta-based H.W. Lay & Company in 1961. In 1965, a merger of Frito-Lay, Inc. and the Pepsi-Cola Company resulted in the formation of PepsiCo, Inc. Currently, PepsiCo operates the Frito-Lay Company, Tropicana Products, The Quaker Oats Company and The Smith's Snackfood Company, along with the Pepsi-Cola Company.
