The Garden Home Community Library Association (GHL) is a non-profit neighbourhood library located in the unincorporated area of Garden Home-Whitford, Oregon.
The association was founded in 1983 and incorporated on March 30, 1994 as a public benefit membership organization under the laws of Oregon. Membership is open to any person for an annual due of $10, and all members can vote in the library annual meeting and elect officers.
GHL joined the Washington County Cooperative Library Services (WCCLS, OCLC code: OQX) in July 1996 and has since provided a regular public library service with proportional county fundings based on circulation and patron usage at the library. Along with Cedar Mill Community Library (CML), Oregon College of Art and Craft Library (OCAC) and Tuality Health Information Center (THC), GHL is one of four libraries in the WCCLS system that are not operated by a government.
Current president of the library is Jack Bertell, of Tigard, Oregon. Past library directors were Linda V. Malone, Karen McClendon, Barbara Micheel.
The library is located inside the Garden Home Recreation Center, a facility owned and operated by the Tualatin Hills Park and Recreation District. The long-awaited expansion and renovation were completed on February 15, 2004, doubling its square footage.
