Global Justice Movement
From Free net encyclopedia
The term Global Justice Movement is an alternative term to describe the loose collection of individuals and groups who advocate fair international trading rules and are critical of current institutions of global economic governance - like the World Trade Organisation, International Monetary Fund, and the World Bank. The movement is often labelled the Anti-globalization movement by the mainstream media. However, as the Alter-globalization term, "Global Justice Movement" rejects the term "anti-globalization", which may also include proponents of national sovereignty and others nationalistic views, quite opposed to the humanist, anti-capitalist and universalist perspective of activists working for another form of globalization.
