- Golden ratio, an irrational number.
- The computus for the date of Easter uses a cycle (the Metonic cycle) of 19 years: the sequence number from 1 to 19 assigned to each year is called the Golden Number. These Golden numbers are unrelated to the Golden Ratio.
- Memorable mobile phone numbers are commonly termed 'gold numbers'. Gold numbers, platinum numbers, diamond numbers - these are all terms used to describe memorable mobile numbers for which there is now a very active market.
