Hammerskins

Image:Hammerskins 01.png The Hammerskins, or Hammerskin Nation is a white supremacist skinhead gang. Organized in 1988 in Dallas, Texas, it is considered one of the United States' most organized and dangerous skinhead groups.
The Hammerskins' primary focus is production and promotion of white power music, but many of their members have also committed hate crimes. Chapters currently exist in several countries besides the U.S., including Canada, England, France, Germany, the Netherlands, Hungary, Portugal, Spain, New Zealand and Australia. They are also affiliated with Free your mind Productions.
The Hammerskin logo, depicting two hammers arranged to resemble goose-stepping legs, is copied from that of a fictitious neo-fascist organization depicted in The Wall, a 1979 album (and 1982 film) by rock band Pink Floyd. The fictional group was intended to satirise fascism.
Their motto is "Hammerskins forever, forever Hammerskins" (often abbreviated "HFFH"). Both the motto and logo often adorn their paraphernalia and tattooed bodies. Like many such groups, the Hammerskins idealize historical warrior societies such as the Aryans, Vikings and Nazis.
Hammerskin Nation was at one time considered to be the nation's most well-organized skinhead group. Recent power struggles have split the group into several factions, some of which are now defunct. A great many of its members have been convicted of harassing, assaulting and murdering non-Whites. Many white power bands are affiliated with Hammerskin Nation, and the sponsoring of concerts is the group's primary focus.
