Home 107.9 is an Independent Local Radio station owned by the Local Radio Company. It was started by Minster Radio Group plc as Huddersfield FM, then bought by Radio Investments Ltd and GWR in November 1999, then completely by Radio Investments in December 2000. It broadcasts from Lockwood Park in Huddersfield.

The signal is relatively low power and comes from a transmitter on Ainley Top, near the M62.

The original presentation team on 107.9 Huddersfield FM included Chris Baxter, Carl Greenwood and John Barnes.
