Hull is a town located in Plymouth County, Massachusetts. As of the 2000 census, the town had a total population of 11,050.

History
Hull was first settled in 1624 and was officially incorporated in 1644. The town is named for Hull, England.
Geography

According to the United States Census Bureau, the town has a total area of 73.1 km² (28.2 mi²). 7.8 km² (3.0 mi²) of it is land and 65.2 km² (25.2 mi²) of it is water. The total area is 89.26% water.
Nantasket Beach
Hull features a lengthy public beach with fine, light-gray sand called Nantasket Beach. At low tide there are acres of tidal pools. Nantasket Beach features restrooms and public showers, parking, and nearby eateries.
Across the street is a scenic boardwalk, including the Dream Machine (a penny arcade), Fascination (a skill game for the 18+ crowd), several beach themed shops, several old fashioned ice cream shoppes, and some very nice restaurants; namely Dalat (Formerly La Dalat), a fine Vietnamese restaurant, and Bridgeman's, an upscale Italian restaurant. The center piece of the boardwalk are the historic carousel and clock tower, the only remnants from the popular Paragon Park, which closed in the 80's.
Demographics
As of the censusTemplate:GR of 2000, there were 11,050 people, 4,522 households, and 2,821 families residing in the town. The population density was 1,408.1/km² (3,648.9/mi²). There were 5,366 housing units at an average density of 683.8/km² (1,771.9/mi²). The racial makeup of the town was 96.95% White, 0.46% Black or African American, 0.31% Native American, 0.89% Asian, 0.05% Pacific Islander, 0.46% from other races, and 0.89% from two or more races. 1.09% of the population were Hispanic or Latino of any race.
There were 4,522 households out of which 26.2% had children under the age of 18 living with them, 46.4% were married couples living together, 11.8% had a female householder with no husband present, and 37.6% were non-families. 29.4% of all households were made up of individuals and 8.1% had someone living alone who was 65 years of age or older. The average household size was 2.44 and the average family size was 3.06.
In the town the population was spread out with 22.1% under the age of 18, 6.0% from 18 to 24, 31.6% from 25 to 44, 28.3% from 45 to 64, and 12.0% who were 65 years of age or older. The median age was 40 years. For every 100 females there were 93.2 males. For every 100 females age 18 and over, there were 89.5 males.
The median income for a household in the town was $52,377, and the median income for a family was $62,294. Males had a median income of $43,030 versus $34,738 for females. The per capita income for the town was $26,331. 8.3% of the population and 5.6% of families were below the poverty line. 12.7% of those under the age of 18 and 9.5% of those 65 and older were living below the poverty line..
