Funabashi (船橋市 -shi) is a city located in Chiba, Japan.
As of 2004, the city has an estimated population of 567,661 and the density of 6,628.46 persons per km². The total area is 85.64 km².
The mayor is Koshichi Fujishiro (藤代孝七).
The city was founded on April 1, 1937.
The local number for telephone is 047-4. The postal code is either 273 or 274.
