Hyperlipidemia

Hyperlipidemia is general term used to refer to a form of dyslipidemia involving an increase in the amount of lipids in the blood. The major types (which are themselves divided into several subtypes) are:

• Hypercholesterolemia
• Hypertriglyceridemia
