- The Information Awareness Office, a branch of the U.S. Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency.
- The International Astronomy Olympiad, an internationally recongnized annual astronomy competition for high-school students.
- The Indian Astronomical Observatory, home of the highest telescope in the world.
