Institute for Research on Public Policy

The Institute for Research on Public Policy (IRPP) is Canada's oldest non-partisan public policy think tank. Based in Montreal and founded in 1972, it publishes Policy Options. The Institute is a registered charity in Canada and stated in its latest annual information return to the Canada Revenue Agency of having assets of roughly $36 million CDN at the conclusion of the 2004 fiscal year.
In June 2006, Mel Cappe will become President and CEO. Hugh Segal, the current President, was appointed in 1999.

The organization is governed by a board of directors.
