Irish Translators' & Interpreters' Association

The Irish Translators' & Interpreters' Association (ITIA) (or, Cumann Aistritheoirí agus Teangairí na hÉireann in Irish) is a professional association representing translators and interpreters in Ireland.

ITIA is affiliated with the International Federation of Translators (FIT).

History

The Irish Translators' & Interpreters' Association is housed in the Irish Writers' Centre in Dublin. It was formed in 1986 with the name Irish Translators' Association. The name was since changed to reflect the fact that the association includes translators and interpreters working in many languages and fields.
