Jennifer Ellison

From Free net encyclopedia

Jennifer Ellison (b. May 30, 1983 in Liverpool, England) is perhaps best known for playing Emily Shadwick in the television soap opera Brookside until 2003 when she became a pop singer. Her cleavage (32DD) is often the subject of much speculation – Jennifer herself strenuously denies the implants.

Her first hit single was Baby I Don't Care, released in June 2003. The song was originally released by Transvision Vamp in 1989.

In 2004 she appeared on the reality television show Hell's Kitchen which she went on to win. This brought her back into the public eye and in July 2004 she released a new single, Bye Bye Boy, which reached the top 20 of the UK charts.

In 2004 she also played Meg, Christine's friend, in The Phantom of the Opera.

On May 26, 2005 it was reported that she was in talks with the BBC to replace Billie Piper as the companion to the Tenth Doctor in the 2006 series of Doctor Who, though it was later reported that Billie Piper would be keeping her role for the entire 2006 series and that Ellisons lack of acting talent would hinder the show. Also in 2005 she was voted "world's sexiest blonde" by readers of the U.K Nuts magazine, beating model Victoria Silvstedt, who came second and pop superstar Britney Spears who was voted third.

She recently appeared in an episode of the ITV legal drama 'The Brief'.

Ellison recently took over Katie Price's (aka Jordan), contract with Lingerie giant Ultimo for its 'Young Attitude' line barely two months after signing Jordan on. Though Ultimo boss Michelle More had earlier chosen Jordan for being "sexy, fun and outgoing," she later changed her mind stating, "Jordan was just the wrong choice for [us]. Jennifer is a far better option and far classier."

Ellison is well known for her looks, and is a fan of Everton Football Club.
