Jon Barry

Jon Alan Barry (born July 25 1969 in Oakland, California) is a professional basketball player, most recently played for the Houston Rockets. He has since declared his intention to retire from professional basketball with the intention of getting involved with basketball management or broadcasting.
Barry is the son of Hall of Famer Rick Barry and has three brothers Scooter, Drew, Brent who also share his profession. Jon has also played for the Milwaukee Bucks, Atlanta Hawks, Los Angeles Lakers, Golden State Warriors, Sacramento Kings, Detroit Pistons, Denver Nuggets and Houston Rockets. He was a first round draft pick in 1992, out of Georgia Tech.
Jon Barry played his high school basketball at an athletic powerhouse, De La Salle High School in Concord, California before receiving a basketball scholarship to attend Georgia Tech. Jon is known in the NBA because of the courage and determination he shows on defense and in the clutch time. He is a sharp shooter from the three point range and also a very accurate free throw shooter. His nickname is Johnny B. Goode.
Barry is the brother in-law of pro golfer Billy Andrade.
