Kicking Against the Pricks
From Free net encyclopedia
Kicking Against the Pricks is the third album released by Nick Cave & The Bad Seeds. First released in 1986, the album is a collection of cover versions. The title refers to a passage from the Bible (Acts 26:14).
The album marked the Bad Seeds debut of drummer Thomas Wydler.
Were Cave's career to be broken into a three act structure, Kicking Against the Pricks might be thought of as the end of Act One.
A number of the original songs that Cave covered were included on the compilation CDs Original Seeds.
