Plot
In Kramer vs. Kramer, Joanna Kramer (Meryl Streep) leaves her marriage to Ted (Dustin Hoffman) in order "to find herself." Ted adjusts to living alone and caring for his son, Billy, (Justin Henry) with the help of his neighbor, Margaret (Jane Alexander).
About a year and a half after leaving, Joanna returns to New York and a battle over custody of Billy ensues.
