Career
Lance Cade was once a student of "The Heartbreak Kid" Shawn Michaels in "The Shawn Michaels Wrestling Academy" at San Antonio, Texas.
His WWE debut came in 2003 and he fought Lance Storm and won in which was considered to be an upset. He soon formed a tag team with Mark Jindrak where he was known then as Garrison Cade. They were both faces to start out with, but turned heel by engaging in a brief fued with the Dudleyz. They would go on to defeat Randy Orton and Ric Flair in an upset. They also briefly feuded with La Resistance and would win. The pinnacle event of their partnership was a spot in the Fatal 4 Way match for the World Tag Team Championship at Wrestlemania XX. Other than that, the team found little success and disbanded when Jindrak was drafted onto the Smackdown Brand.
After Jindrak was drafted to SmackDown!, Cade next associated himself with Jonathan Coachman, and the two teamed up in numerous storylines, including one where they tried and to take Eric Bischoff's "simple-minded" nephew Eugene Dinsmore out of the company. This angle came to a head at Bad Blood when Eugene faced Coachman in one-on-one action, and saw a gorgeous woman come down to try to distract Eugene with cookies, only for Dinsmore to fight it off and defeat Coach. Cade later teamed up with "Coach" at Vengeance 2004 to take on the debuting team of Rhyno and Tajiri. Cade and Coachman lost the match, and Cade was taken off WWE TV after an injury in July 2004. Before his injury Cade was rumoured to start a feud with his trainer Shawn Michaels and call himself HBCade.
On August 22, 2005 a promo was shown showcasing Cade's soon to be return with tag team partner Trevor Murdoch, the promo showed Cade & Murdoch (as the team were known) portraying rednecks with Cade (who dropped the stage name Garrison and now wrestles under his real name) playing the role of a smooth-talking cowboy, while Murdoch was depicted as being like an angry Southern trucker.
Cade and Murdoch had their debut match on Monday Night RAW on September 5, 2005. They defeated their opponents the World Tag Team Champions, Hurricane and Rosey in a non-title match earning themselves a title match at WWE Unforgiven. During the title match, Murdoch delivered an elevated DDT on The Hurricane to the outside. The DDT caused Hurricane to suffer a "stinger" (in Kayfabe) and allowed Cade & Murdoch to beat the injured Hurricane later in the match to win the World Tag Team Titles from him and Rosey. They would fight with the best teams on Raw and then they would lose the titles to Kane & The Big Show at Taboo Tuesday.
On the November 28th edition of RAW, it was announced that Lance Cade and Trevor Murdoch had parted ways as a tag team.
On one of the latest RAW episodes before Wrestlemania 22, Cade and Murdoch reunited by helping Chris Masters and Carlito attack Kane in the back and locking him in some type of room. On the April 14th edition of Heat, it was announced that Cade & Murdoch were reuniting as a tag team. Murdoch also helped Cade win his match with Goldust.
