Land Transport Authority

The Land Transport Authority (LTA; Chinese: 陆路交通管理局) of Singapore is a statutory board of the Ministry of Transport.

The LTA has a government-designated monopoly on public works projects dealing with ground transportation in Singapore, including Mass Rapid Transit (MRT) lines and expressways. On completion, operation and maintenance rights are sold to commercial companies.

One of the LTA's responsibilities is the construction and maintenance of Singapore's Electronic Road Pricing system.
