Larry Tee
From Free net encyclopedia
Larry Tee is a Brooklyn based DJ and producer who helped coin the term Electroclash with a series of festivals that once had the same name but are now called "The Outsider Electronic Music Festival." He's also known for returning calls and e-mails in a "scene" where everyone else is always "so sorry because they're always so busy".
Tee began his career in the gay community of Atlanta, Georgia, where he worked as an actor in a variety of extremely low-budget films that co-starred such future celebrities as RuPaul and Lady Bunny. Among these was the trilogy RuPaul Is: Starbooty!.
His electroclash "Mutants" and "Berliniamsburg" parties at Club Luxx in the Williamsburg neighborhood of Brooklyn helped launch the careers of Avenue D, Fischerspooner, Scissor Sisters, Tobell von Cartier, and Cazwell.
You can best recognize Larry around as "that bald white dude in the black-rimmed glasses."
