Manvel is a city located in Brazoria County, Texas. As of the 2000 census, the city had a total population of 3,046.

According to the United States Census Bureau, the city has a total area of 60.3 km² (23.3 mi²). 60.3 km² (23.3 mi²) of it is land and none of the area is covered with water.
Demographics
As of the censusTemplate:GR of 2000, there were 3,046 people, 1,085 households, and 870 families residing in the city. The population density was 50.5/km² (130.7/mi²). There were 1,148 housing units at an average density of 19.0/km² (49.3/mi²). The racial makeup of the city was 91.23% White, 2.33% African American, 0.46% Native American, 0.56% Asian, 0.00% Pacific Islander, 3.91% from other races, and 1.51% from two or more races. 12.87% of the population were Hispanic or Latino of any race.
There were 1,085 households out of which 36.4% had children under the age of 18 living with them, 67.9% were married couples living together, 7.6% had a female householder with no husband present, and 19.8% were non-families. 15.5% of all households were made up of individuals and 4.4% had someone living alone who was 65 years of age or older. The average household size was 2.80 and the average family size was 3.13.
In the city the population was spread out with 25.8% under the age of 18, 7.1% from 18 to 24, 29.9% from 25 to 44, 28.7% from 45 to 64, and 8.5% who were 65 years of age or older. The median age was 38 years. For every 100 females there were 100.7 males. For every 100 females age 18 and over, there were 98.3 males.
The median income for a household in the city was $57,344, and the median income for a family was $68,125. Males had a median income of $45,602 versus $28,083 for females. The per capita income for the city was $23,751. 3.0% of the population and 1.3% of families were below the poverty line. 2.6% of those under the age of 18 and 1.9% of those 65 and older were living below the poverty line.
Education
Students in Manvel attend schools in the Alvin Independent School District.
E.C. Mason Elementary School (Manvel), Manvel Junior High School (Manvel), and Alvin High School (Alvin) serve Manvel. Starting in the 2006-2007 school year, the city will be served by Manvel High School instead of Alvin High School.
Manvel is served by the Alvin Community College system.
The Manvel Library is a part of the Brazoria County Library System.
