Manzanillo is a city in the Mexican state of Colima, located at Template:Coor d. Manzanillo is a sea port on the Pacific Ocean. In 2003 the city of Manzanillo had an estimated population of about 103,000 people. Manzanillo is also a beach resort and, as the self-proclaimed "sailfish capital" of the world, hosts a yearly sailfish fishing tournament. In 2004 its port surpassed Veracruz as the largest port per volume of cargo in Mexico and is the principal commercial port on the Mexican Pacific coast. Port business experienced a significant surge during the longshoremens´ strike in Long Beach, California in 2002. Manzanillo also hosts the most efficient port for tuna landings in Mexico.
