Marshall Jewell

Marshall Jewell (October 20, 1825–February 10, 1883) was a U.S. political figure. He served as the governor of Connecticut between 1869 and 1870, and again from 1871 until 1873. Born in 1825 in Winchester, New Hampshire, he then served as the Postmaster General between 1874 and 1876. He also served as the chairman of the Republican National Committee from 1880 until 1883. He died in 1883 in New Haven, Connecticut.
