In Greek mythology, Menoetius referred to several different people.

  1. A son of Iapetus and Clymene. A glorious warrior who was insolent to Zeus. By some accounts he was smitten by Zeus with a lightning bolt on Mt. Triphyle, and in others he was merely crippled and banished to Tartarus. This Titan's name means "ruined strength".
  2. One of Hades' shepherds on Erythea. He told Geryon when Heracles stole Geryon's herd.
  3. Father of Patroclus and son of Actor. (Iliad, XI, 765)
