Meta Department

Template:CoDepartment infobox The Meta is a department of Colombia. It is in the centre of the country, at the East of the Andes mountain, in the plain called the Llanos. Its capital is Villavicencio.

The name belongs also to a river that crosses this department.

The department has a monument placed in the very geographic centre.
