National Movement Simeon II

Template:Politics of Bulgaria Image:Ndsv logo.gif The National Movement Simeon II (Bulgarian: Национално движение Симеон Втори; Nacionalno Dviženie Simeon Vtori) is a political party in Bulgaria, the vehicle of Simeon Borisov Sakskoburggotski, the deposed Tsar of Bulgaria and former Prime Minister. The movement won in the 2001 elections 42.7 % of the popular vote and 120 out of 240 seats. It formed a coalition government with the Movement for Rights and Freedoms. It has developed into a liberal party which became a full member of the Liberal International at its Sofia Congress in May 2005. At the last legislative elections, June 25, 2005, it lost the elections and became the second party with 21.83 % of the popular vote and 53 out of 240 seats.
