Neerpelt

Neerpelt is a municipality located in the Belgian province of Limburg. On January 1 2005 Neerpelt had a total population of 16,063. The total area is 42.78 km² which gives a population density of 375.50 inhabitants per km².

Neerpelt is the birthplace of many famous Belgians : director Stijn Coninx, composer Wim Mertens, singer Belle Perez, singer/songwriter Joost Zwegers from 'Novastar' and singer/songwriter Stijn Meuris from 'Monza' and 'Noordkaap'.
