Out for Justice

Out for Justice is a 1991 action film starring Steven Seagal. It was directed by John Flynn, and has been rated R by the MPAA.
The movie centers on NYPD detective Gino Felino (Seagal), a lifetime Brooklyn resident who is in the midst of getting divorced from his wife Vicky (Jo Champa). One day, when about to play with his son, when he gets a phone call saying that his best friend and partner, Bobby Lupo, was murdered right in front of his family by Richie Madano (William Forsythe), an enemy since childhood. With his friend dead, Fellino is now out to kill Madano by any means nescessary, and to take the control of his neighborhood back from Madano and his cohorts.

Trivia
- John Leguizamo has a very brief appearance in the movie. He is credited as 'Boy in Alley'.
- Several cuts were made for the film's release overseas. In the United Kingdom in particular, several of the gruesome action scenes were trimmed, cutting the duration by about 1 minute.
- This was the third straight Seagal movie to make number 1 at the U.S. box office on its opening weekend. In the United States it grossed $40 million, falling short of the box office receipts of his last release, Marked for Death.
- Out for Justice featured one original song, Don't Stand in My Way, performed by Greg Allman. It was written by Steven Seagal and David Michael Frank.
