Padiddle

Padiddle is a nighttime travel game whose objective is to earn points by spotting vehicles with a burned out headlight. Depending on where you are from the game might have a slightly different variation of the name such as having it spelled "Paduddle" or "Padoodle".

In the basic game, the first person to spot a vehicle with only one operational headlight shouts "padiddle!", and the winner is the one who, by the end of the trip, has spotted the most vehicles. The game may also be played by giving extra points for vehicles such as semitrailers or police cars. In some variations, people punch the roof, others kiss their neighbor, others honk the horn, and others punch the person next to them in the arm. The most provocative version requires the losers to remove an article of clothing each time they miss a "padiddle".

The latter version can also be played girls against boys. In this version, every car spotted with a headlight out counts for two articles of clothing to be removed, instead of the usual one. A car with both headlights out is known as a 'suicide'. This requires four articles of clothing to be removed. The first team to get the other team completely naked is the winner.
