Paimio

Paimio (Template:IPA2), or Pemar in Swedish, is a municipality of Finland.
It is located in the province of Western Finland and is part of the Finland Proper region. The municipality has a population of 9,808 (2004-12-31) and covers an area of 240.15 km² of which 0.83 km² is water. The population density is 40.98 inhabitants per km².
The municipality is unilingually Finnish.

Paimio is best known for the tuberculosis sanatorium designed by the architect Alvar Aalto.
