Pardo

Pardo is a term for a mixed-race Brazilian. In practice, the word refers primarily to Brazilians of black and white ancestry, except in the northern and parts of the northeastern region where other mixes are also covered by the term.

El Pardo is a palace near Madrid where Francisco Franco lived after the Spanish Civil War. After Franco's death, it is used as a residence for visiting heads of state.
