Party of the Brazilian Democratic Movement

Template:Infobox Brazillian Political Party The Party of the Brazilian Democratic Movement (Portuguese: Partido do Movimento Democrático Brasileiro, PMDB) is the successor of the Brazilian Democratic Movement. It is largely a centrist party with no fixed ideology, including a range of liberals as well as the fromer guerilla movement MR-8.
At the last legislative elections, 6 October 2002, the party won 74 out of 513 seats in the Chamber of Deputies and 19 out of 81 seats in the Senate, making it one of the biggest parties in Brazil.
