Peter Duncan (actor)
From Free net encyclopedia
Peter Duncan (born May 3, 1954) is a British actor and television presenter, who is best known as a former presenter of Blue Peter.
Duncan began his television career as a child actor, appearing in series such as a BBC dramatisation of Treasure Island, the serial King Cinder and the ITV children's science fiction series, The Tomorrow People. Unusually, he did two stints with Blue Peter, being on the team from 1980 until 1984 and again from 1985 to1986. During his stay with the programme, he became associated with the kind of daredevil stunts previously popularised by John Noakes and these continued in his own spin-off series called Duncan Dares. After 1986 Duncan returned to the stage, most notably in the musical Barnum. He also had an extremely brief role in the film Flash Gordon with his character dying after eleven seconds on screen. It was revealed in 1980 that Peter Duncan had once acted in a porn film.
