Pieris

Pieris is two different genera:

Pieris is a plant genus in the Ericaceae family.
Pieris is a butterfly genus in the Pieridae family.
Pieris is also an ancient name of Kondariotissa and an ancient tribe where the name Pieria originates
Another Pieris existed near what is now the southwestern portion of the Kavala prefecture in eastern Greek Macedonia. It is now a municipality covering most of the ancient Pieris.
