Port Wing is a town located in Bayfield County, Wisconsin. As of the 2000 census, the town had a total population of 420.

Demographics
As of the census2 of 2000, there were 420 people, 194 households, and 121 families residing in the town. The population density was 3.5/km² (9.0/mi²). There were 356 housing units at an average density of 2.9/km² (7.6/mi²). The racial makeup of the town was 97.62% White, 0.00% African American, 1.43% Native American, 0.24% Asian, 0.00% Pacific Islander, 0.00% from other races, and 0.71% from two or more races. 0.00% of the population were Hispanic or Latino of any race.
There were 194 households out of which 22.7% had children under the age of 18 living with them, 49.0% were married couples living together, 8.2% had a female householder with no husband present, and 37.6% were non-families. 33.5% of all households were made up of individuals and 17.0% had someone living alone who was 65 years of age or older. The average household size was 2.16 and the average family size was 2.74.
In the town the population was spread out with 21.4% under the age of 18, 5.7% from 18 to 24, 20.5% from 25 to 44, 33.6% from 45 to 64, and 18.8% who were 65 years of age or older. The median age was 46 years. For every 100 females there were 107.9 males. For every 100 females age 18 and over, there were 102.5 males.
The median income for a household in the town was $30,000, and the median income for a family was $37,500. Males had a median income of $36,389 versus $26,250 for females.
