The Rape, Abuse & Incest National Network (RAINN) is the nation's largest anti-sexual assault organization. RAINN operates the National Sexual Assault Hotline at 1.800.656.HOPE, a toll-free, confidential and anonymous hotline service that connects callers to their local provider of counseling to victims of rape and sexual assault.

RAINN was founded in 1994 by Scott Berkowitz, the organization's president. RAINN has attracted the attention of many celebrities, notably singer Tori Amos, who contributed a portion of the initial funding.

RAINN's mission is to support victims of sexual assault, ensure that rapists are brought to justice and prevent sexual assault.
