Motto:

RFA Mounts Bay (L3008) is an amphibious assault vessel of the Royal Fleet Auxiliary.

It was launched at BAE Systems shipyard in Govan, Glasgow on April 9 2004. It sustained minor damage from a collision during the launch, which could be why the shipyard felt they had to be extremely careful with the launch of her sister ship RFA Cardigan Bay (L3009) the following year.
