Richard Coad

Richard Coad (13 February 1825-1 November 1900) was a 19th century English architect.
Born in Liskeard, Cornwall, he served as assistant to George Gilbert Scott and worked under Scott's supervision on improvements to Lanhydrock House near Bodmin in 1857. When the building was severely damaged by fire in 1881, Coad returned to the site to rebuild the house to accommodate the 2nd Baron Robartes's large family.
