Richard Quick

Richard Quick (born January 31, 1943 in Akron, Ohio) is the head coach of the women's swim team at Stanford University, California, USA. He has been a coach for the US Olympic team for five Olympics - 1984, 1988, 1992, 1996, 2000.
At the Sydney Olympics he lead the women's team to sixteen medals. At Stanford he has developed 35 NCAA Champions and has won five NCAA Coach of the Year honors and three Pac-10 Coach of the Year awards. His most successful swimmer is probably Jenny Thompson who has won eight Olympic Golds.
Quick was a top swimmer himself at Highland Park High School (University Park, Texas) and Southern Methodist University where he made All-Southwest Conference.
