Mab (mab', IPA Template:IPA) is a natural satellite of Uranus. It was discovered by Mark R. Showalter, et al. in 2003 using the Hubble Space Telescope. It was named after Queen Mab, a fairy queen from English folklore who is mentioned in William Shakespeare's play Romeo and Juliet.

It was too dark and small for the Voyager 2 probe to detect it during its Uranus flyby.

There are so many moons in the region that its orbit may be unstable.

Mab orbits at the same distance from Uranus as R/2003 U 1, a newly discovered outer ring, and is thought to supply material to the ring [1].

Following its discovery, Mab was given the temporary designation of S/2003 U 1. In addition to Mab, this moon is also designated Uranus XXVI.
