Sarah Whatmore

Sarah Whatmore is a singer best known from the British TV series Pop Idol.

She was previously been a contestant on Popstars. She made it to the last 30 contestants, and was spotted by 19 Entertainment's Simon Fuller who offered her a global management deal. He later signed her to a global label deal with RCA Records0.

Her first single "When I Lost You" reached no.6 in the UK Singles Chart, and her follow-up "Automatic" narrowly missed out on a top ten position, charting at no.11. She is currently working on her first album "Living Proof", which is named after one of the more personal tracks. Unlike the two first singles, Sarah has co-written the later tracks. Known tracks are:

  5. "Are You Ready For Love"
  6. "Let The Heat Go"
  7. "Real Man"
  8. "Living Proof"

The album will hopefully be released in Spring 2006. However, the album was already planned to be released in 2003 and her website hasn't been updated since, although it is still currently online.

Sarah has also showed her songwriting skills, co-wroting fellow Pop Idol contestent Zoe Birkett's debut single "Treat Me Like a Lady", which reached number 12 in the UK charts.

Sarah has also recorded the classic Grease song "Sandra Dee" which is available on the special album Greasemania. The album also includes fellow contestants Darius and Gareth Gates and other reality TV stars such as Girls Aloud and The Cheeky Girls.
