Scintillation

The term Scintillation has several different meanings, including:
- Atmospheric induced Scintillation effects which influence astronomical observations.
- Scintillation - A flash of light produced in certain materials (called scintillators) by absorption of ionizing radiation.
- Scintillation - An apparent rapid target displacement occurring on radar displays.
- Scintillation - A rapidly oscillating pattern of visual distortions, often associated with migraine aura
- Scintillating grid - an image in which compounded color contrasts cause an optical illusion of visual artifacts (called "scintillations"), typically spots visible in particular positions.
