Scrooge

Scrooge is the surname of Ebenezer Scrooge, the selfish and miserly protagonist of Charles Dickens' 1843 novella A Christmas Carol. The popularity of the original character is such that "Scrooge" has come into general usage as a term for a person who is stingy, antisocial, or lacking in Christmas spirit. Scrooge can also refer to:
- Scrooge, a 1951 film adaptation of A Christmas Carol featuring Alastair Sim in the title role.
- Scrooge, a 1970 musical film version of the story starring Albert Finney.
- Scrooge: The Musical, a 1992 stage musical adapted from the 1970 film and starring Anthony Newley.
- The Disney comic book character Scrooge McDuck, also a miserly personality, whose name derives from the Dickens character.
- SS-15 Scrooge, the NATO reporting name for the RT-20 intercontinental ballistic missile.
