The Securitas Aktiebolag is a Swedish security solutions (security guard) company. It has some 200,000 employees in the United States, Canada, and Europe.

In Switzerland, the group's company is called Protectas AG, Securitas AG being a competitor. In Denmark, the group's company is called Dansikring A/S, Falck Securitas being a competitor.

In July 2003 Securitas acquired the United States companies of Pinkerton and Burns to make it one of the largest security companies in the world. Its world headquarters is in London.

The company was chosen to provide security services for the parade route of George W. Bush's second presidential inauguration.

It is controlled by Gustaf Douglas through his company Latour.

The company has been criticized by some employees for having poor medical and dental benefits in comparison to other companies with an equal amount of workers.

The UK division of the company hit the headlines in February 2006 when armed robbers raided its cash office located in Tonbridge in Kent. The criminals made off with £53m. See Securitas depot robbery. A securitas van was also rammed by criminals in a stolen tractor who subsequently made off with hundreds of thousands of pounds in Warrington, near Manchester.

In March 2006 an armed gang robbed a Securitas van as it was unloading money at Gothenburg's Landvetter Airport in Sweden (Gang attacks plane in Gothenburg).

Securitas Canada is the largest security services company in Canada.
