Senzu

Senzu Beans or just Senzu are a food in the fictional manga Dragon Ball. They are beans green in color which, when eaten, restore the eater to perfect health. Their texture is said to be between an uncooked or under ripe bean and celery stalk. While extremely powerful, (they were once able to heal a hole in the torso of Yamcha) they are not infallible; they cannot cure sicknesses or ailments such as the heart disease Goku contracted in the Androids Saga. For some reason, the beans are said to taste like fish.

Senzu beans are grown by Korin, a cat who lives in a giant tower with Yajirobe. Usually Korin grows the beans and Yajirobe delivers them to the Z Warriors.

Goku is very generous with the Senzu beans and sometimes gives them to his enemies after hard fights, for example Piccolo Jr. and Cell.it:Senzu ja:仙豆
