Shiliver Rebbe

The Shiliver Rebbe was a character in the book Kaddish by Ka-Tzetnik 135633. He was a (fictional) Hasidic Jewish rebbe leader who opposed openly resisting the Nazis on the grounds that resistance meant certain death and thus constituted suicide, which is strictly forbidden.
