Sidney is a town located in Kosciusko County, Indiana. As of the 2000 census, the town had a total population of 168.
Geography
Sidney is located at 41°6'19" North, 85°44'35" West (41.105140, -85.743074)Template:GR.
According to the United States Census Bureau, the town has a total area of 0.4 km² (0.1 mi²). 0.3 km² (0.1 mi²) of it is land and 7.14% is water.
Demographics
As of the censusTemplate:GR of 2000, there were 168 people, 62 households, and 46 families residing in the town. The population density was 499.0/km² (1,291.2/mi²). There were 69 housing units at an average density of 204.9/km² (530.3/mi²). The racial makeup of the town was 98.21% White, 0.00% African American, 0.00% Native American, 0.00% Asian, 0.60% Pacific Islander, 0.00% from other races, and 1.19% from two or more races. 0.60% of the population were Hispanic or Latino of any race.
There were 62 households out of which 33.9% had children under the age of 18 living with them, 66.1% were married couples living together, 8.1% had a female householder with no husband present, and 24.2% were non-families. 21.0% of all households were made up of individuals and 9.7% had someone living alone who was 65 years of age or older. The average household size was 2.71 and the average family size was 3.19.
In the town the population was spread out with 28.6% under the age of 18, 5.4% from 18 to 24, 29.8% from 25 to 44, 23.2% from 45 to 64, and 13.1% who were 65 years of age or older. The median age was 37 years. For every 100 females there were 97.6 males. For every 100 females age 18 and over, there were 87.5 males.
