Stargate: Battle for Mankind

Stargate: Battle for Mankind, commonly seen Stargate BFM, was originally a total conversion mod for the computer game Battlefield 1942 (2002) with several beta releases. It is now working a on a version for Battlefield 2, which is expected in 2006. The game features a theme based on the Stargate universe and includes various weapons and vehicles based on content from the movie and TV series. The mod had its first public release in June 2004, a v0.1 beta release. The release had some server problems and was soon patched (v.1b) that same month. The Stargate BFM development team consisted of 19 people at the time of its release, and in the month of its release had over 2000 unique players.
The mod is also working on a version for Battlefield Vietnam, tentatively known as Stargate BFMV. This version was never publically released, though some screenshots were.
