Stephen Root

He played Jimmy James on NBC's NewsRadio and provides the voices of Bill Dauterive and Buck Strickland on King of the Hill. Recently, he has had a recurring role on the final two seasons of "The West Wing" as Republican campaign consultant Bob Mayer. His most recognizable film role to date was as the mumbling, stapler-obsessed Milton Waddams in Mike Judge's 1999 cult comedy Office Space. Other films include RoboCop 3, Buffy the Vampire Slayer, Ghost, Ice Age, Finding Nemo, The Ladykillers, Dodgeball: A True Underdog Story, Bicentennial Man, Jersey Girl, and O Brother, Where Art Thou?.
Root also portrayed NASA chief flight controller Chris Kraft in the miniseries From the Earth to the Moon. He is also the voice of Commander Chode on the Sci Fi Channel's Tripping the Rift. He is also the voice of Homebase of The X's.
He is considered among the best character actors in the business.
