Strike Anywhere

Template:Infobox bandStrike Anywhere is a Richmond, Virginia based punk rock band formed in 1999. Their music is often described as melodic hardcore, characterized by fast tempos, catchy melodies and emotionally charged vocals delivered via shouting and singing. The album Exit English has given Strike Anywhere a large cult following based on their musicianship and songwriting skill, as well as their heartfelt, eloquently political lyrics.

Strike anywhere has recorded several songs for compilations including a live version of "Sunset on 32nd" for 1157 Wheeler Avenue: A Memorial for Amadou Diallo and an acoustic version of "Chalk Line" for Punk Goes Acoustic.

Strike Anywhere also contributed a song called "To the World" for the Rock Against Bush, Vol.1 album funded by legendary punk-rock band NOFX. They are known to be more liberal and on the left-wing of the political spectrum.

An official live show is available on a split DVD with Florida hardcore band, As Friends Rust - released through Punkervision.

They were on the 2005 Van's Warped Tour.

Strike Anywhere supports the vegetarian lifestyle, the living wage movement, gender and racial equality and the fight against corporate globalization.

The symbol they use is a circle with three downward-right pointing arrows. Called the Antifascist Circle, it is an international symbol for resistance, equality, and the solidarity of all peoples against oppression.

Strike Anywhere will record its new album (which will be out on Fat Wreck Chords) in April with producer Brian McTernan. The release date is expected to be around September 2006.

Thomas Barnett was previously in Inquisition (band) which recorded a song entitled Strike Anywhere.

They are currently touring with A Global Threat and With Honor.
